Eduardo Cachucho – Creative Director

Our creative director brings a diverse background to the festival as an artist, architect, and program consultant. With over ten years of experience in digital innovation within the creative industry, both in across Africa and abroad, he is convinced that digital creative practices hold the key to sustainable empowerment throughout South Africa and the wider African continent.

Lodi Matsetela – Programme Manager

Lodi is a renowned filmmaker whose super power is effortlessly straddling the creative and the pragmatic. At Tshimologong she joins the team responsible for Digital Lab Africa and the Precinct’s flagship event Fak’gusi Digital Arts Festival. A product of incubations, residencies and many other industry training initiatives herself, she understands the value of the work done by the Digital Content Hub and its impact on creatives interested in participating in the digital arts.

Neo Kgawane – Project Coordinator 

Neo is a Production Manager at Digital Characters Animation Studio, concurrently serving as the Festival Project Coordinator for the renowned Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival. He is dedicated to promoting creative excellence and has knowledge in animation, film and TV. His professional philosophy centres around the appreciation of being in the moment and embracing the powerful combination of different artistic forms that come together.

Avuzwa Ntshongwana – Project Coordinator

I’m an AWS cloud engineer with a passion for crafting awesome games and apps (Android too!). My ultimate goal is to grow in the digital creative world, especially in game development and the exciting world of XR!By day, I keep projects on track as a Project Coordinator at Fakugesi Festival & Digital lab Africa. Plus, I empower other women in gaming as an organizer for WIGI (Women In Games International).

Obakeng Mafokoane – Trainee In-house Video Editor/ Photographer

am a Video Editor, photographer and videographer at Fakugesi. My role as an editor is to manipulate and combining video files to create a completed video project, cut together film clips, alter and correct sound mixing, add digital effects, and make other essential technical changes to video files and my role as a videographer and photograph is to Film video and capture images at fakugesi and other corporate events and location. Working with creative teams and clients to plan shoots.

Ofentse Maselesele – Trainee Art Director / Graphic Designer

I am a Multimedia Designer, with expertise in Graphic Design, UX/UI, Photography and Videography . Currently serving as a graphic design trainee at Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival. I also partake in the field of visual arts as a painter, I consider myself as a multi-disciplinary creative. My greatest aspiration is to build a multi-faceted creative studio which would be impactful in making a thriving creative industry.
