Premier of Animations from the Young Director Programme of the Tshimologong Development Studio: "Hovers" by Director Bokang Koatja and "From the Cave's Mouth" by Director Jeani Varty.
The question of African aesthetics as the primary driver behind the concepts, scripts and styles of these animations. This premier follows seven months of work in which the young directors of these short films have worked with a team of interns at Tshimologong Development Studio.
The exhibition will go live on the 27th October with the panel discussion: YOUNG DIRECTORS: DISCOVERING THE AFRICAN AESTHETIC THROUGH ANIMATION (see "online panel" programme for details).
