Joey Ekunwe is an artiste who creates music, videos and immersive media pieces and is also the lead 360° video creative at Imisi 3D. Joe is a graduate from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management. He has over 5 years of video editing experience and has worked with a number of recording artists, directors and businesses to bring their visual ideas to life.

With a dream to one day found a company that will change the face of advertising in Africa, Joe ventured into immersive filmmaking in 2018. In that space, he has created a few immersive experiences including the Imisi3D and IAF Basel partnered experience, “Reality Check” which aimed to connect the two cities of Basel, Switzerland and Yaba in Lagos, Nigeria through Virtual Reality. He is also worked with renowned artist, Jumoke Sanwo, and South African company, Electric South, to create a brand new experience about the different transitioning phases of Lagos as a city. By combining the freedom that extended reality brings with his years of video editing and compositing experience, he intends to change how the world views filmmaking and advertising.
