[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
The Maker Library Network (MLN) is a British Council project that connects designers and makers around the world, enabling the sharing of knowledge and skills and encouraging collaboration.
A Maker Library is a creative space for making, showing and reading. Each contains three key elements of a make-space, a gallery and a library, connected to the global network via an online platform.
Gauteng-based Geekulcha, will be setting up a Maker Library in the Glass Box at the 2016 Fak’ugesi Festival in Tshimologong, where visitors can pop in and explore projects, new technologies and share ideas with some of the country’s most inspiring makers and thinkers.
Visitors can also participate in facilitated workshops and activities, please see the event listings for events titled with “MLN & Geekulcha”.
Geekulcha will be joined by seasoned Maker Librarians from Thingking (Cape Town) and The MakerSpace (Durban) for a special collaboration project.
