A Moment of a Self Portrait

A Moment of a Self Portrait

Joshua Jansen van Vuuren

This game is an OCD simulator with the intention of allowing people who do not have it to better understand the emotional gripes people with this illness have to deal with. This game is not for the faint-hearted, and comes with a big, fat trigger warning. However, players who persevere will surely walk away with a (hopefully) meaningful experience.

The Constructed Wetland Microbial Fuel Cell (CW-MFC) Project is a 3D animated piece which aims at educating people about a strategic development that aims at assisting with generating electricity and providing clean water. The animation explains how the structure of a CW-MFC is built, showing significantly the layers that are formed within it, as well as how it operates. One of the core operations of the CW-MFC that the animation highlights is the use of Bacteria to generate electrical current and how clean water is produced in the process.

Dear Diary

Dear Diary

Marco Chu

Dear Diary is a text-based horror mystery game where players slowly learn more about the character of Elli and the downward spiral of her mental state. The game attempts to set an environment which makes the player feel uncomfortable and uneasy but also speaks to the traumas of self-loathing and isolation. This piece may not be able to encapsulate these ideas in their entirety and to an extent may be a bit over the top but it is an attempt to share a fragment of the emotions one can go through.

The game has two endings which are decided at critical moments within the game.

Love me Less is a visual novel/dating simulator that explores the concept of toxic relationships and the effects that it can have on a person’s emotional well being and mental state.

The player is introduced to the antagonist of the game, Elliot, when you bump into him at a party. He is quite charming and the player is mesmerized by him easily.

Follow the storyline as the relationship develops further and unfolds into something much less sweet. Make difficult decisions that test your friendships and reveal the darker side of your relationship.

--------------------Trigger Warning-------------------
