Meghan Judge

South Africa

Creative / Artist African Digital Art
Meghan Judge makes research and experimentally driven pieces that allow for encounters between the animations, installations and sound. Her works generally experiment with time. They often condense into moods and atmospheres that allow for the thickening of the present moment in ways that question hegemonic knowing. Currently, Meghan is working with the ocean as a theme for exploring beyond the limits of human power.

Collaboratively, Meghan has taken part in and organized many artistic exchange experiments, both as participating artist and as curator/organizer. These include ongoing activity in the Africa|Nosy Art Echange that finds connectivity (despite border constraints) and generates activity amongst artists in Southern/Eastern Africa and the Indian Ocean.

She is a PhD Fellow in the Oceanic Humanities for the Global South project at WiSER, Wits University.
