Dawit is an award-winning game developer and the co-founder and CEO of Ethiopian based gaming studio, Qene Games. In 2018, Dawit and his team launched Kukulu, a Pan-African 3D runner mobile game, which won the 2018 AppsAfrica Award for Best Entertainment App. Qene Games is now working on its second title Gebeta, an online multiplayer puzzle game.
Dawit has also previously collaborated on international Artificial Intelligence projects such as the OpenCog AGI framework (www.opencog.org) that provides the natural language processing back-end for the famous Sophia Robot.
When Dawit is not working, he enjoys creative writing, sitcoms, fiction, history, musical instruments and learning new languages.
